I have lived in my apartment for 4 and a half years and the the water has always been a source of frustration. If you don’t run it for a day, it is copper colored when you turn it on for the first 30 seconds or so before running clear or some facsimile thereof.
Obviously I never used it as drinking water. But I would wash dishes and brew coffee with it as the water was boiled for coffee so I figured it had to be fine. I convinced myself that the white residue on the coffeemaker after brewing a pot was normal. And the same on my air dried dishes. I had tried a few faucet filters from Brita and GE but still didn’t care for the taste of the water and still had the white residue. Besides that they were bulky and right on the faucet making it awkward washing and manipulating dishes with the attachment. So the last two years I was resigned to bottled water for to drink and make my coffee. Now mind you the coffeemaker STILL had the white residue even with bottled water!

About 3 weeks ago I connected my new Body Glove CounterTop filter, as I have been amazed by the Bottle Glove Filter Bottle cleaning mud puddle water for me so I couldn’t resist! I must say I am a bit flabbergasted with the results. My first test was with, you guessed it, my coffeemaker.
I was only curious about the taste difference and was excited to try it. The coffee was delicious and not as bitter as it usually was, so I was quite happy about that. After emptying the filter, I always leave the lid open to air dry. When I came back to the kitchen an hour later the lid had dried and to my absolute amazement, there was no white residue?! It had dried clean with no spotting or residue at all…. So I then rinsed the coffee pot and a few glasses with the filtered water after washing with regular hot water. After allowing a few hours for these to air dry, they were spotless too! Needless to say, I am not buying bottled water anymore. I am absolutely in love with my new Body Glove CounterTop filter!!! Not only does it function better than any filtration unit I have ever used, it connects with a snap and it doesn’t take up sink space as it sits off to the side out of my way.
Thanks Body Glove and Water, Inc. for reminding me what water is supposed to taste and look like! You have gained a life long loyal customer!
